Join us to shape Rincon's future together!
Preserve what we love. Build what we need.
Lead with integrity.
Trisha Boyett combines professional expertise, community leadership, and a lifelong passion for service. She is a Georgia Certified Economic Developer (GCED) through the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government and a Certified Travel Marketing Professional (TMP) through the Southeast Tourism Society. With this background in economic development and tourism marketing, she understands what it takes to attract quality businesses, grow tourism, preserve natural and historic assets, and create opportunities that strengthen local economies. Now, as a financial advisor with Edward Jones, she works closely with families, small businesses, and nonprofits to plan for the future and build lasting financial security.
Her commitment to service earned her recognition as Effingham Living’s 2024 Most Fab Volunteer of the Year. Trisha serves as Rincon’s appointee to the Effingham County Industrial Development Authority Board, chairs the City of Rincon Planning & Zoning Committee, and lends her voice to the United Way Effingham County Advisory Board. This year, she is honored to serve as the Effingham United Way Campaign Chair, raising funds to directly support housing, transportation, and food insecurity needs for local residents. She is also an active member of Effingham Rotary, the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce, and the Savannah Chamber of Commerce — where she contributes on both the Governmental Affairs and Business Owners committees.
Family is at the center of Trisha’s story. She and her husband Alfred, a Deputy Sheriff with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department, are the proud parents of six young adults in their blended family and welcomed their first grandchild in July 2024. Together, they also own a local independent property and casualty insurance agency. Over the past 11 years, Alfred has undergone two kidney transplants — and the Boyetts credit their faith, family, friends, and the generosity of the community for helping them through those difficult times.
Now that four of their children are in college and Alfred is thriving, Trisha feels called to give back in an even greater way. She wants to ensure Rincon grows wisely — balancing economic opportunity with preserving small-town charm — so that her children and future generations will find quality jobs, safe neighborhoods, upgraded infrastructure, and the amenities to make this their forever home.

TRISHA BOYETT IS A KIND AND FRIENDLY FACE IN THE COMMUNITY. YOU MAY SEE HER AT ANY NUMBER OF EVENTS. SHE HAS 6 KIDS, SAVANNAH'S EDWARD JONES LOCATION, AND IS AN INCREDIBLY PASSIONATE COMMUNITY HELPER.
In terms of civic commitments, there is a laundry list: Chairperson of the Port Wentworth Chamber Board, Effingham Rotary member, was an appointee to Rincon's Planning and Zoning board, and holds a seat on the Effingham Chamber's Events Committee.
Most recently, Trisha was named to Effingham County's Industrial Development Board.
Remember - mom of 6, small business owner, and a deeply committed community member - she is a civic leader and volunteer.
She is, by far, more than qualified for the role with Effingham County's Industrial Development Authority. Trisha is a believer in giving back, she states, "When people invest in moving to a community they are planting roots. They want to benefit from the environment around them."
She brings education and insight to the table. As she has spent much time developing our sister community, Port Wentworth, she sees endless opportunities. Trisha's vision for our area is to create enrichment: both recreational and historical.
Heritage tourism and historic preservation are coming to fruition in Port Wentworth, but Effingham County also has so much potential.
With natural assets, a plethora of historical landmarks, and community growth, we are ripe with possibility. Immersive experiences that have the potential to educate our children and families can be established. Historical landmarks abound. And every voice should be represented. In the vision to unearth history, there is an opportunity to revisit our tourism capabilities.
Trisha has done the research, she excitedly shared that there are manatee mating grounds on Ebenezer Creek. She'd love to see more people take to our local waters and experience one of our many environmental resources.
Trisha sees hospitality and tourism becoming a reality. "We have created tax incentives to drive business here. A focus on tourism could bolster our local economic landscape. And create new and unique career opportunities.
Trisha looks to share her knowledge with the IDA.
Walkable options for the communities that she cares for are becoming actualized. CAT services in Port Wentworth have been approved. To add more transportation services and increase the service area is possible. CAT is also looking to create an experience that is more Uber and less mass transit.
As a Certified Economic Developer and Tourism Marketing Professional, she comes to the table with much information and a desire to dig in.
We all want Trish on our local boards. No doubt. She is currently envisioning big things and does so with a big heart. Remember, this time given to share her insight, incredible education, and experience with the community is voluntary.
She ends by saying, "Ultimately, the work I do is to coax our kids (the collective) to plant roots here. Now. In this vein, I want to lay my head down at night knowing that I have helped someone."
She does, she will, and we appreciate Trisha.
